New driver program for Ohio teens

The Ohio State Highway Patrol has launched a new driver safety program for teens which helps to encourage parents to talk with their teens on the importance of driving safe. News was released as National Teen Driving Safety Week continues.
 

The safety week runs between October 17th and 23rd. 
 

Drive to Live is the new program launched by the patrol, it is intended to positively impact the youth and engage in conversations about good decision making. The patrol says it is geared toward meeting teens. Success of the program will result in impacting Ohio's youth and building relationships between students and those in public safety. 
 

A website was launched and offers parents and caregivers helpful tips and a framework for having discussions with their teen drivers about risky behaviors that can lead to fatal consequences.
