Marietta City School Staff to receive stipend

A 750-dollar stipend is going out to each employee of the Marietta City School district soon.  According to the district, dedication through the tough times is to thank for the decision. 
 

Doug Mallet is the Vice President of the Board for the school system, moved the resolution which was seconded by Bill Hutchinson.  
 

JD Benson is the Marietta Education Association President. Reports from the system say Benson believed morale was down and the stipend will help.  Adding that it will come as a shock to some employees.
