Fuel prices are up again as we head for the middle of November.  It is the highest price since September of 2014. The national average according to AAA is 3.42 per gallon. Barrel stock was down 1.5 million to settle at 214.2 million barrels last week. Demand rose though from 9.32 million barrels per day to 9.5 million barrels per day. The increase in demand has contributed to price increases while elevated crude prices continue to put upward market pressure on pump prices.

Luckily the national average isn't the same as local pumps. Not far off though, Athens is averaging 3.35 per gallon, this represents the highest in the area.  Marietta is the lowest at 3.25 per gallon. This week last year, fuel prices were at 2.05 per gallon.
