The Ohio State Highway Patrol looked back to figures from Thanksgiving 2020. The reporting period lasted between November 25th and November 29th. During that time, reports say 11 fatal crashes took place that killed 11 people. Five of the crashes involved alcohol or drugs.  Four were not wearing their seatbelt. 303 Arrests for impaired driving were made.

Thanksgiving is traditionally the business night for Bars and Restaurants. Agents with the Ohio Investigative Unit want to remind servers to not sell alcohol to underage customers.  The unit has been in Marietta and do wear plain clothes to stay under the radar while keeping an eye out on customers and restaurant employees.

Here in 2021, the reporting period with the patrol will last between tomorrow and next Monday the 29th
