BOAZ, West Virginia (August 24, 2016) - Henderson Hall in Boaz opened a new addition to the public last week, when the new vintage clothing room in the historic building was unveiled.

Thanks to a $4,000-dollar grant from the James Wood Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, clothing dating back to the 1700s that had been preserved at Henderson Hall Plantation is now available for viewing by Hall visitors. The new upstairs clothing display room premiered last Friday.

The clothing on display includes men, women and children's outfits, the Virginia Military Institute's cadet uniform worn by Jock Henderson, shoes, hats, purses, wedding attire and many other items.

Henderson Hall, located at 517 Old River Road between Boaz and Williamstown, is open for public tours March through December, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults; with special rates for students and school groups.
