Parkersburg bank robbery suspects apprehended

PARKERSBURG, West Virginia (September 27, 2016) - The Parkersburg Police Department reports that the two suspects involved in the Monday robbery of People's Bank on Emerson Avenue have been apprehended in Maryland.
 
According to police, William B. Hebden, age 36 of Parkersburg, and Bradley W. Oxendine, age 39 of Hope Mills, North Carolina, are in custody awaiting extradition back to Parkersburg.
 
The men allegedly robbed the Emerson Avenue branch of People's Bank at gunpoint at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.
 
Parkersburg and Baltimore detectives say they used technology and social media to locate the suspects' vehicle, a white 2012 Ford 150 extended cab truck, in a CVS parking lot in Baltimore, Maryland.
 
Investigators also reportedly located an amount of currency matching what was believed to have been taken from the People's Bank, at the time the suspects were apprehended.
 
Police say they received tips and information from the public that also aided in the investigation.
 
The two suspects are currently in custody and will remain incarcerated until they are extradited to West Virginia. Both are charged with First Degree Robbery.
