The People's Bank Foundation has announced that it has awarded five thousand dollars to Ohio History Connection for restoration of the WP Snyder Jr.

The donation will support the final phase of restoration to the 98 year old vessel.  The final phase will be dedicated to the boats interior and bring it up to museum quality.

People's Bank Foundation Chairman and President, Staci Matheny says, "the WP Snyder Jr. is a significant cultural, educational and economic asset to the region."  She also said that People's Bank is pleased to be part of the preservation.

Restoration began back in 2005 and the plan is to have restoration complete by 2018 for the boat's 100th birthday.
