The Washington County Sheriff's Office was recently dispatched to Newport after reports came in about an alleged assault. The two subjects in the matter were Tiffany Bookman and Aaron Robinson.

Bookman had reportedly fled the residence with her small children and was at another location when deputies arrived. Once deputies met with Bookman, bruises to her arm and neck were noticed and during the interview, Bookman reportedly said that once she had asked Aaron Robinson to watch over the kids due to her not feeling well, Robinson became angry and began calling Bookman derogatory names.

Bookman decided to get the kids and begin walking to her parent's house.  Once this happened, the report states that Robinson grabbed her by her hair and started punching her in the head and the arms. Following the interview with Bookman, deputies then allegedly interviewed Robinson. He stated that it was just a shouting match.

Based on the injuries noticed by authorities, 23-year-old Aaron Robinson was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
