The Daughters of the Nile will be holding a Quilt Bingo fundraiser on Saturday, November 18th at the Nemesis Shrine Center in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

WMOA News recently spoke with the Daughters of the Niles' Chairperson Elaine Curtis about what organization this event will be raising funds for.

"All of the money that we raise goes into our general fund which is then divided up into two separate funds. One of them is for immediate use by the hospital and one is to sit there and do nothing but draw interest. Last year we donated $2,000 a piece to each fund."

Curtis also gave us a little sneak peak as to what kinds of events, activities, and concessions will occur at this fundraiser.

"In addition to the bingo games where each time you call bingo and you win, you win a quilt; we have other items that we're going to be auctioned off in a Chinese auction, and a 50/50 drawing. We're also going to have concessions; hot dogs, nachos, chips, and cookies."

The $20 ticket price includes 20 games. Tickets are available from any member. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the group's mission of supporting the Shriners Hospital for Children.
