Marietta, Ohio- A successful day of giving is being reported by Marietta College. This was the fifth annual day of giving at the college. The institution reports previous records have been shattered for dollars raised and for the number of donors who participated.

This year the college raised more than $227,000 from more than 1,300 donors during the events. That's up from $192,000 and 1,200 participants in 2020.

Kathryn Gloor is the senior director of Annual Giving at Marietta College; she says the initiative is planned and led primarily by members of the Marietta College Alumni Association and other volunteers who serve as advocates. 110 Alumni volunteers served as advocates for this year's event.
