Inmates charged for smuggling drugs into jail
The report says Officers at the jail examined video of a Brennan Omalley coming into the jail March 9 after inmates were showing signs of impairment. Omalley was reportedly placed in a holding cell while waiting for placement inside the jail. Another subject was placed in the same holding cell. The video revealed Omalley on a toilet for a long period of time leaning back and forth.
Later in the video reports say Omalley was seen with something in his hand which he later washed off in the sink. A white object was noticed on video which Omalley was attempting to unscrew. A pouring motion was then noticed into a cup. He allegedly drank from it. The other subject as also seen drinking from the cup.
Omalley was advised regarding conveyance into the jail and admitted to bringing in a vaping substance stating the juice was nicotine and not illegal drugs. Omalley also admitted to sharing it with other inmates once he was escorted to the dorm. The other subject reportedly told officers that he knew Omalley had illegal substance with him stating he was told it was liquid morphine.
Other inmates at the Washington County Jail reported that it was liquid Xanax which had been mixed. Numerous inmates were reported to have consumed the substance in their dorm stating they were high within 15 minutes and that it was the 'real deal'. New Matamoras resident Brennan Omalley was charged with conveyance into a correctional facility. The second subject mentioned is 35-year-old Marc Wright, he was also charged with illegal conveyance.
