U.S. Marshalls arrest murder suspect

MARIETTA, Ohio- In July of 2020, local resident Megan Wiggans allegedly did not prevent an act of child abuse of a young child by her boyfriend Michael Dawson within her residence.
Reports from the United States Marshall Service say the child succumbed to their injuries and Dawson was arrested for murder and was released on bond by the Washington County Court.
The Marshall Service is now pleased to announce that Megan Wiggans was arrested in Marietta. The Washington County Common Pleas Court charged Wiggans with Failure to appear for the charge of Permitting Child Abuse and Endangering Children.
The arrest was made on Longacre Street in Marietta. Multiple announcements were made upon official's arrival. Entry was made and inside of the home was both Michael Dawson and Megan located.
SOFAST is the South Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team, it took in the case at the request of the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Dawson and Wiggans were both arrested.
