Vincent man arrested for falling asleep with infant in car

MARIETTA, Ohio- A local man was arrested on multiple charges including endangering children, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. On April 28, a WCSO deputy was dispatched to a gas station in Marietta for a report of a male subject passed out at the steering wheel of a non-runnning vehicle with an infant in the back seat. The deputy met with the male subject identified as Eric Owens.
 

Owens reportedly told the deputy that he had stopped for gas and was on the phone and must have fell asleep. He added that he was meeting someone to transfer the child. The deputy placed 41-year-old Eric Owens under arrest for an active warrant for theft, a charge of endangering children, OVI and driving under suspension. Owens was transported to the Washington County Jail.
