The Marietta/Belpre Health Department, Memorial Health System and the Washington County Health Department have shared the latest on COVID-19 in the area.

Since the start of the county, 5,213 cases have been found in the county, of those 198 were hospitalized and 109 deaths were recorded.  57 cases are being monitored. This is the 3rd straight week seeing a lower number of monitored cases.

Vaccine rates are slowly climbing as well. Currently the Vaccination Dashboard provided by the ODH displays 37.32% of Washington County vaccinated.  The entire state has vaccinated 42%.

The Local departments are saying that Community Action Bus Lines is serving the county to provide free transportation to get vaccinated.  The dial-a-ride system is being used.  It is a demand response system with curb-to-curb service five days per week. If you would like to schedule a ride you can call and tell the dispatcher that you are getting the vaccine and you need a ride.
