MARIETTA, OHIO- The Marietta Noon Lions Club says "Let's Go Clubbing"…on the golf course that is. The scramble is on the schedule for July 24th at Oxbow Golf Course in Belpre, Ohio.

Marietta Noon Lions Club secretary and scramble chair Sara Camacho joined us Thursday and said: "We have pay outs for our 3 winning teams, but you don't have to 1st, 2nd and 3rd to win; our 3rd place prize actually goes to the team in 13th place."

There are prizes on every hole. Camacho told WMOA about the plethora of prizes that are up for grabs.

"We have women and prizes for those hole prizes because we have a couple of teams of women that are coming out to support our organization," she said. "We also have a 50/50 raffle that benefits the great people of Gospel Mission Food Pantry."

Camacho expects many local businesses out at Oxbow on the 24th along with individual teams.  As of Thursday, 22 out of 26 teams had been filled.  One par 3 on the course will feature a BIG PRIZE.

"We have a great partnership with Pioneer-Chevrolet and they have sponsored par 3 with a new-vehicle as a prize for the first person to get a hole-in-one," Camacho explained. "We cannot wait to see what vehicle we will have to put out on the course. We will have about 80 to 100 golfers out there with a chance to win a free car."

Event information is available at the Marietta Noon Lion Facebook Page.  Camacho said that at the end of the day, the Lions Club puts a focus on service and will continue to provide service to the area in the future.
