Two-Vehicle Fatal Crash on State Route 339

VINCENT, OH- A two-vehicle fatal crash occurred Thursday night near the corner of State Route 339 and County Road 806.  
 
 
Involved in the crash was a 1996 Honda Civic being operated by 20-year-old Dylan Ours of Waterford. The other vehicle involved was a 1999 Chevy Blazer being Operated by 22-year-old Timothie Haught of Vincent. 
 
 
The investigation found that Haught in the Blazer was traveling northbound on State Route 339 and was attempting to turn left onto Spence Lane, according to the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Reports claim Haught failed to yield to southbound traffic and was struck by Ours in the Civic. Both Haught and Ours reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.  A juvenile passenger in Haught's Blazer was flown to Nationwide Children's Hospital with serious injuries. 
 
 
Reports also say that in the Civic, a 19-year-old Joslyn Trent of Marietta sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased. 
 
 
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Dunham Township Volunteer Fire Department, Wesley Township Volunteer Fire Department, Barlow Volunteer Fire Department and Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. 
 
 
WMOA News was on scene last night as well.  Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The use of seatbelts is still being investigated. The Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
