Name Released of Man Killed by Deputy

Last Thursday shots rang out on Ohio State Route 339. This was a police involved shooting that left one dead.  Names have been released this week.  Reports from last week say a pursuit began in the 4am hour and after striking another vehicle, 19 year old Devon Lee Taylor of Marietta lost control and went off of the side of the road. 
 
According to reports from the Washington County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Mark Warden, the deputy involved in the chase found themselves in a situation where the use of their weapon was necessary.  
 
Aside from the name of the driver, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations has yet to release additional information regarding the incident.  The investigation is continuing.  
 
The unnamed officer in the situation went on administrative leave after the situation.  According to the Sheriff's Office this is standard protocol for an officer involved in a shooting.
